    The "Collins" Plain Toe Blucher in Navy Nubuck is made exclusively for Brick + Mortar and a limited release, meaning it will not be made again. This shoe is crafted from a full grain navy nubuck leather which is soft, sturdy and substantial. While suede is made from the softer underside of the hide, nubuck is made from the hideā€™s tougher exterior side, which is thicker and has a more robust feel. While both leathers have a nap, nubuckā€™s nap is considerably shorter in length. This shoe is inspired by the original ā€œBucksā€ derby shoe of the turn of the century. Light-colored suede and nubuck derby shoes made with a red sole were popular among students and graduates of Ivy League colleges in the Northeast. This sleek Blucher is crafted on the popular Barrie Last with a red rubber outsole, tonal stitching and blind eyelets which provide an extremely wearable, classic-cool style.

    Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.

    Size down Ā½ Size (US 9.5D = Alden 9D)

    The Barrie last runs a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size. The hallmarks of the Barrie last is its voluminous shape (high toe box, wide heel cup) and its ability to fit many different foot shapes comfortably. For this reason, itā€™s Aldenā€™s most popular last. If you have slimmer feet or a low volume instep, sizing down a full size in the Barrie Last is common.

    We will gladly exchange or issue store credit for any unworn regular price shoes or leather accessories purchased from us within 14 days of purchase date. We do not offer refunds and store credits do not expire. Shoes and leather accessories must be in the same condition with no signs of try-on or wear to allow for re-stocking. Re-stocking fees may apply for special order items. We do not accept returns or exchanges on socks or shoe care products. Gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. All in-stock Alden Catalog special orders must be paid in full at the time of order. For back order Alden Catalog styles, we require a 50% deposit at the time of order.
