The “Scholar” Long Wing Blucher shoe is made for Brick + Mortar in Humus suede. The suede used has an extremely luxurious and fine nap which curbs discomfort on foot and brushes out beautifully. The Humus brown suede is rich and deep with a slight grey undertone making this color a casual go-to, falling in-between the Snuff and Dark Brown color ways. This shoe features pinking and brogue detail throughout, surrounding the entirety of the pattern uppers. A medallian toe, 360 antique pre-stitched reverse welt and blind eyelets, all make this Blucher incredibly wearable and easy to break-in. The Barrie Last provides an elegant and popular silhouette in authentic Alden styling.

The Barrie last runs a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size. The hallmarks of the Barrie last is its voluminous shape (high toe box, wide heel cup) and its ability to fit many different foot shapes comfortably. For this reason, it’s Alden’s most popular last. If you have slimmer feet or a low volume instep, sizing down a full size in the Barrie Last is common.
