1340C Chukka Boot in Black Shell Cordovan, Barrie Last

Originally a B+M exclusive, the 1340C Chukka Boot by Alden is made using Horween’s Black colored Shell Cordovan hide and stays secure on foot. The addition of a commando sole and thick Shell Cordovan gives this Chukka a robust and dutiful feeling. Made on the Barrie Last, this boot is offers sleek, attractive and low-profile aesthetics. 

Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horse’s rump. It’s rare, low yield and known for its dense, tight grain and durability. This leather is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time. 

Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.
