    The “Vashon” Handsewn Indy Shoe is made exclusively for Brick + Mortar. A vibrant burgundy Color 8 shell cordovan varies in rich hues from dark eggplant to dark burgundy depending on the light. The “Vashon” is built for wardrobe versatility and all-terrain daily excursions due to the commando sole. 

    Alden “Handsewn” models indicate the moccasin stitch toe was stitched by hand rather than a machine. This allows the moccasin stitch to become expressive, raised and authentic. Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horse’s rump. It’s rare, low yield and known for its durability, tight grain and glossy finish. Shell Cordovan is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time.

    Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.

    Shoe Size Guide

    Size down ½ Size (US 9.5D = Alden 9D)

    The Trubalance last runs a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size. The toe box is slightly wider than the Barrie last, but shallower. The heel cup is also narrower than Barrie’s, so while the Trubalace is wider-looking than Barrie, the fit is very secure. If you have narrow feet, sizing down a full size in the Trubalance last is common.
