    The 403 is Alden’s classic Indy Boot made using Brown Chromexcel leather. Chromexcel is made by the famous Horween Leather Company, a tannery in Chicago, IL. Known for its softness, durability, and resiliency to the elements, Chromexcel is an ideal choice for casual, rugged footwear. Packed with waxes and oils, the leather is easy to maintain and hardwearing. Besides featuring Brown Chromexcel leather, the details of the 403 Indy Boot are the same as the celebrated film original Indy Boot, made on the accommodative Trubalance last which can support orthotics if necessary and provide you all day standing, walking and working comfort. 

    Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.

    Shoe Size Guide

    Size down ½ Size (US 9.5D = Alden 9D)

    The Trubalance last runs a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size. The toe box is slightly wider than the Barrie last, but shallower. The heel cup is also narrower than Barrie’s, so while the Trubalace is wider-looking than Barrie, the fit is very secure. If you have narrow feet, sizing down a full size in the Trubalance last is common.
