9901C Plain Toe Blucher in Black Shell Cordovan, Barrie Last

Our 9901C is the Brick + Mortar take on Alden’s 9901C Plain Toe Blucher. We’ve kept all the details the same as the 9901C except we added nickel eyelets instead of using the blind eyelets which come standard. Crafted from a pitch-black Shell Cordovan from Horween Leather Co. While naturally matte, this leather has the ability to shine up like no other. Nickel eyelets give this boot versatile style upon the popular and sleek Barrie Last, while the commando sole and black welt add utility and grit to an otherwise sophisticated make up. 

Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horse’s rump. It’s rare, low yield and known for its dense, tight grain and durability. This leather is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time. 

Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.
