The "University" loafer is made for Brick + Mortar and based on the popular 986 model, except this uses an antique welt and flex waterlock leather outsoles. The Van Last features a low volume toe box with a high cut vamp, making it a sleek and comfortable choice for loafers. We love this penny loafer for the luxurious leather, handsewn detailing and casual comfort.

Alden “Handsewn” models indicate the moccasin stitch toe was stitched by hand rather than a machine. This allows the moccasin stitch to become expressive, raised and authentic.

Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horse’s rump. It’s rare, low yield and known for its durability, tight grain and glossy finish. Shell Cordovan is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time.

Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.
