Aberdeen Last
Sizing Recommendation: True to Size.
The Aberdeen Last runs true-to-size and is the narrowest Last Alden offers. The Aberdeen Last has a classic, elegant shape characterized by a rounded, pointy toe box, shapely waist and heel which hugs the foot throughout. A truly timeless design mostly used for dress shoes and loafers.
Barrie Last
Sizing Recommendation: Size Down ½ - 1 Size.
The Barrie Last runs about a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size. The Barrie Last is a dress Last crafted with a high toe box and wide heel cup. Known for its voluminous shape and almond toe, this Last is known to fit many different foot types comfortably. For this reason, it’s Alden’s most popular Last. If you have slimmer feet or a low volume instep, sizing down a full size in the Barrie Last is common.
Copley Last
Sizing Recommendation: True to Size.
The Copley Last runs true-to-size and is characterized by a softly rounded, elongated toe box. It is a great Last if you have a high instep, but is not ideal for those with flatter feet.
Grant Last
Sizing Recommendation: True to Size.
The Grant Last is right in the middle of Alden's fittings, not too roomy and not too narrow. We find this Last runs about 1/4 size larger than your standard US shoe size. It's a dress last which has a rounded toe box with a slight taper. Due to the toe box, most treat this as a true-to-size Last.
Hampton Last
Sizing Recommendation: True to Size.
The Hampton Last is an elegant Last which runs true-to-size and fits the average foot well, but can also accommodate a wider forefoot while still being one of Alden’s narrowest offerings.
Leydon Last
Sizing Recommendation: True to Size - Down ½ Size.
The Leydon Last is a moderate fitting Last with a shallow vamp. We recommend taking a 1/2 size down or your normal US size depending on your foot and fit preferences. This Last is often used for unlined chukka boots and loafers.
Plaza Last
Sizing Recommendation: True to Size - Down ½ Size**
The Plaza Last is a sophisticated dress Last. It is characterized by a chiseled and slightly elongated toe box. While the Plaza is considered a true-to-size Last, if you have narrow feet, sizing down a 1/2 size is common.
**Fitting Note: When sizing Loafers made on the Plaza Last we suggest a 1/2 size down for most feet.
Trubalance Last
Sizing Recommendation: Size Down ½ - 1 Size.
The Trubalance Last runs around a 1/2 - 1 full size larger than your standard US shoe size. This Last features a secure and accomodating waist and heel, expanding into a wide and voluminous toe box, making this Last comfortable for almost all feet. If you have narrow feet then sizing down a full size is common.
Van Last
Sizing Recommendation: Size down ½ Size.
The Van Last runs about a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size, similar to how the Barrie Last is sized. The Van Last is known for its low volume toe box and higher-cut vamp making it an ideal Last for penny loafers.
