The 987 is a leisure handsewn moccasin penny loafer made by Alden in a black shell cordovan leather on the Van Last. The Van Last features a low volume toe box with a high cut vamp, making it a sleek and comfortable choice for loafers. Alden “Handsewn” models indicate the moccasin stitch toe was stitched by hand rather than a machine. This allows the moccasin stitch to become expressive, raised and authentic.
