Crafted upon the accommodative Barrie Last from a pitch-black Shell Cordovan from Horween Leather Co. atop double oak tanned leather soles using blind eyelets and a blacked out welt and sole edge. One of the most popular make ups that exemplify Alden’s history, quality and commitment to craft.

Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horse’s rump. It’s rare, low yield and known for its dense, tight grain and durability. This leather is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time. 

Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.
