    The ā€œArmstrongā€ Plain Toe Boot is made exclusively for Brick + Mortar. Crafted from a pitch-black Shell Cordovan from Horween and while naturally matte, this leather has the ability to shine up like no other. Nickel eyelets and speed hooks give this boot versatile style upon the popular and sleek Barrie Last, while the commando sole and black welt add utility and grit to an otherwise sophisticated make up.Ā 

    Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horseā€™s rump. Itā€™s rare, low yield and known for its dense, tight grain and durability. This leather is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time.Ā 

    Alden footwear is crafted using Goodyear Welt construction, which allows for a full restoration when necessary and a water resistant build. A tempered steel shank under the arch and a cork fill provides remarkable support and comfort throughout the day.

    Shoe Size Guide

    Size down a Ā½ Size (US 9.5D = Alden 9D)

    The Barrie last runs a 1/2 size larger than your standard US shoe size. The hallmarks of the Barrie last is its voluminous shape (high toe box, wide heel cup) and its ability to fit many different foot shapes comfortably. For this reason, itā€™s Aldenā€™s most popular last. If you have slimmer feet or a low volume instep, sizing down a full size in the Barrie Last is common.

    We will gladly exchange or issue store credit for any unworn regular price shoes or leather accessories purchased from us within 14 days of purchase date. We do not offer refunds and store credits do not expire. Shoes and leather accessories must be in the same condition with no signs of try-on or wear to allow for re-stocking. Re-stocking fees may apply for special order items. We do not accept returns or exchanges on socks or shoe care products. Gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. All in-stock Alden Catalog special orders must be paid in full at the time of order. For back order Alden Catalog styles, we require a 50% deposit at the time of order.
